Reeluxs Bag Spa Service Policy and Terms & Conditions

Agreement to Terms:

Acceptance: By using our services, you, the customer, agree to abide by Reeluxs’s service policy and terms & conditions.

Understanding: It is essential that you read and fully understand all aspects of these terms for proceeding with our services. This ensures that both parties are aware of their rights and obligations, helping to prevent misunderstandings and disputes.

• Non-Cancellable: Once a service has been confirmed to process, it is non-cancellable and non-refundable . 

(a) Service Disclaimer

• Replacement Services: Six (6) months of warranty post-completion for applicable only to the replacement area. 

• Restoration Services: Three (3) months of warranty post-completion, applicable only to the restored areas.

• Repair Services: One (1) month of warranty post-completion, covering only the specific repairs conducted.

• Hardware Re-plating Service: 14 days of warranty post-completion, applicable only to the re-plating area.

• Cleaning & Odor Services: 7 Days of warranty post-completion.(Not applicable where our assessment records the issue as “cannot be fully removed,” or where the owner declines the necessary advised service)

Limitations: 

• Scope of Warranty: The warranty applies exclusively to areas that have been serviced by Reeluxs. Areas not serviced under this repair are excluded from warranty coverage.

• Coverage Details: The warranty covers only issues directly addressed by the service performed. It does not extend to damage caused by improper care, external environmental factors, or problems not related to the serviced parts.

• Coverage Evaluation : Variations in the condition of material can affect the final result of the service.The warranty does not accommodate demands for flawless perfection or nitpicking over minor imperfections.

• Disregard of Advisory : If the owner elects not to follow our professional advice, the advised service will not be performed. As a result, the owner accepts all associated risks and limitations, and warranty coverage will not apply to issues arising from the declined service.

(b) Warranty Period Limitation

• Start of Warranty Period: The warranty period begins from the date the customer collects the serviced item.

• Deadline for Collection: Warranty claims will not be accepted after three months from the date of notification for customers who delay collection.

• Timing of Sending for Service: Warranty claims will not be accepted if the item is sent for service after the warranty period has expired, even if notification occurs within the warranty period.

• Warranty Claims: Customers are encouraged to submit any claims concerning potential defects or issues within the specified warranty duration as stated at the time of service.

• Timely Addressing of Concerns: This policy ensures that all concerns are addressed timely and within the terms of our warranty policy.

(c) Warranty Limitations

(i). Evaluation of Disclaimer :

• Professional Judgement: All issues are evaluated based on our professional judgement to determine their validity.

• Unreasonable Requests: Requests that are considered unreasonable, such as:

  • Scrutiny over the spacing of stitching lines

  • Slightly uneven stitching differing by a few millimetres

  • Minor colour tone variations

  • Zooming in from all angles to find imperfections

  • Requests to measure or compare all details within a few millimetres

• These types of requests are not accepted.

• Leather Condition Variances: Leather condition variances affect the final result. Therefore, demands for flawless perfection or nitpicking are not entertained.

(ii). Non-Serviced Areas:

Areas not serviced or addressed during repair or modification are excluded from warranty coverage.

The warranty does not cover any parts or components not explicitly repaired, replaced, or maintained by Reeluxs.

(iii). Exclusions:

Improper Care or Misuse: Damage resulting from improper handling, lack of maintenance, accidents, or abuse.

External Environmental Factors: Damage caused by environmental conditions such as weather extremes, natural disasters, or exposure to harmful chemicals.

Unrelated Issues: Problems not related to the serviced parts or arising from parts that were not included in the service.

(iv) . Duration and Commencement:

The warranty period begins on the date the customer collects the serviced item and is valid for a specific duration as stated at the time of service. No claims will be accepted after the expiration of this warranty period.

(v). Claim Process:

Customers must notify Reeluxs of any defects within the warranty period and provide proof of service. Reeluxs reserves the right to inspect the item and verify the claim before any warranty service is performed.

(d) Exclusions from Warranty

• (i) Warranty Rejection: Reeluxs reserves the right to reject any warranty claims if the item was not maintained or handled according to provided protocols and guidelines. Non-compliance resulting in damage voids the warranty.

• (ii) Wear and Tear: Not covered under any warranty.

Do not accept warranty claims due to the inevitable wear and tear over time, as this is a natural and unavoidable process. Whether you opt to purchase a new product, undertake a restoration, or proceed with a replacement, it may initially appear perfect. However, usage will inevitably lead to wear and tear, which is not covered under warranty terms.

• (iii) Loose Items: No liability for personal items left within serviced products.

Reeluxs is not responsible for any loose items left within or attached to products submitted for service. This includes, but is not limited to, jewellery, cash, manual booklets, authenticity cards, dustbags, boxes, or parts not related to the service. Customers are strongly advised to thoroughly check and empty all compartments of their items prior to submission to prevent any loss. Reeluxs will not be liable for the loss or damage of any such items left in or with the products during the servicing process.

• (iv) Hidden Damages:

  • Optional Consent Requirement for Additional Fees: In instances of hidden damages, which are only detectable during the repair process and not visible to the naked eye, we reserve the right to request additional fees from the customer. We will inform the customer of the necessity of extra repair fees to replace damaged components or conduct other essential repairs. Customers have the discretion to decide whether to accept additional charges for the corresponding repair work.

  • Necessary Repairs Exception: If hidden damages are vital to the integrity or functionality of other areas, essential additional repairs may be carried out without prior authorization.

(e)Additional Provisions 

• (i) Non-Returnable Replacement Parts:

  • Replacement Parts Policy ：Requests for the return of replaced leather or parts are not accepted. Each replacement is handled individually on an exchange basis, and given the significant volume of parts, such requests are uniformly declined.

  • Acceptance of Terms: By agreeing to the service terms and engaging in our repair or customization services, customers acknowledge and accept that any removed parts during the service will not be returned and will be handled according to company policy.

(ii) Advisory Non-Compliance Clause

• In situations where a recommended service is declined or not performed due to the customer’s decision to disregard our professional advice, the customer shall assume full responsibility for any resulting outcomes. These outcomes may include, but are not limited to, damage, deterioration, reduced functionality, or failure of related parts.

• This clause applies when the company provides professional recommendations regarding service, maintenance, or care to ensure the optimal condition and longevity of the item. Any avoidable issues arising from non-compliance with these recommendations shall be deemed the sole responsibility of the customer.

• The company shall not be held liable for damage to any related parts or components resulting from the customer’s decision to disregard professional advice.

• By engaging our services, the customer acknowledges the importance of following professional advice to maintain the quality, functionality, and durability of the serviced item.

• (iii) Uncollected Items Policy

• Collection Notification
  Upon completion of the service, the customer will be notified up to three (3) times within a period of three (3) months. These notifications will serve as reminders to collect the serviced item.

  The company will make a maximum of three (3) collection notifications only.

  The company will not be obligated to provide any further reminder or notice after the third notification has been issued.

  This includes, but is not limited to, any further follow-up, telephone call, message, email, or other form of notification, regardless of how much time has passed.

  It shall be the customer’s sole responsibility to arrange for the collection of the item after receiving the notifications.

• Customer Responsibility
  Items that remain uncollected beyond the notification period will be kept at the customer’s own risk. The company shall not be held liable for any risks, damages, or losses that may occur, including but not limited to:

  • Physical damage

  • Theft or loss

  • Oxidation due to time

  • Mold, mildew, or deterioration

  • Environmental damage during storage

• Storage Fee
  For items that remain uncollected for more than three (3) months after notification, a storage fee of RM1 per day per item will be charged until the item is collected.

  The storage fee must be settled in full before the item is released to the customer.

• Disposal of Uncollected Items
  If an item remains uncollected for a period exceeding six (6) months from the date of service completion, the company reserves the right to dispose of, destroy, sell, donate, recycle, or otherwise deal with the item without further notice, in accordance with the company’s internal policies and regulations.

  Any outstanding storage fees, administrative charges, and related costs may be deducted from any recoverable value of the item, where applicable.

• Liability
  The company shall not be held responsible for any claims, losses, damages, costs, or liabilities arising from the storage, deterioration, oxidation, mold, theft, loss, disposal, sale, donation, recycling, destruction, or any other handling of items that remain uncollected beyond the specified period.

(f) Service Types and Specific Notes

* It is important to understand that variations in the base material’s condition can impact the final outcome of our service. As such, we do not accept demands for flawless perfection or engage in addressing nitpicking concerns. We strive to deliver the best possible results within the realistic constraints of the material’s existing condition.

1. Cleaning Limitations

1.1 Primary Function of Cleaning

Cleaning is a maintenance service designed to remove dust, dirt, and minor stains, preserving the bag’s cleanliness and moisture balance. However, it does not resolve deeper issues such as:

• Wear & Tear – scratches, cracks, or weakened material.

• Color Fading – discoloration due to aging or prolonged use.

• Oxidation & Structural Damage – chemical reactions that cause material breakdown.

1.2 Misconceptions About Leather Discoloration

Darkened or dull areas on leather are sometimes mistaken for dirt buildup, but they may be caused by:

• Severe Color Wear – erosion of the protective coating and dye layer, exposing darker inner leather.

• Heavy Wear & Tear – leading to an uneven appearance that cleaning alone cannot fix.

1.3 Most Bags Require Repair & Restoration

While cleaning is beneficial for maintenance, significant wear may require additional services:

• Cracks, Oxidation, or Structural Damage → Repair or Replacement Services

• Fading, Deep Discoloration, or Tarnished Leather → Color Restoration Service

• Gold Hardware Tarnishing → Gold Plating Service

• Regular cleaning maintains the bag’s moisture balance and cleanliness, but repair and restoration ensure long-term preservation.

1.4 Types of Stubborn Stains & Risk of Removal

• Oil & Grease Stains : May leave residue or dark patches even after treatment.

• Ink & Dye Transfer : Deep absorption in light-colored or porous leather; may only lighten, not disappear.

• Water Stains & Mold : May cause discoloration and stiffness; mold removal can alter texture.

• Makeup & Skincare Products : Oils and pigments may cause permanent stains; excessive cleaning may alter the bag’s finish.

• Food & Beverage Stains (Coffee, Wine, Sauce, etc.) : Can lead to uneven patches; aggressive cleaning may cause fading.

• Yellowing & Oxidation Stains :Common in aged leather; excessive treatment may weaken material.

• Glue & Adhesive Stains :Strong adhesives may bond with the surface, making full removal difficult.

• Perfume & Chemical Stains : Can cause discoloration or surface damage depending on the chemical composition.

• Pen & Marker Stains :  Deep-set ink may not be fully removable, especially on absorbent materials.

• Metal Hardware & Rust Stains : Rust and oxidation can cause permanent staining; treatment may only reduce marks.

1.5  Important Notice

• Complete stain removal is not guaranteed, as some stains may be permanent.

• Over-treatment may cause thinning, discoloration, or texture changes in the material.

• Customers acknowledge these risks before proceeding with stain removal services.

1.6  Material Sensitivity & Cleaning Impact

Different Materials React Differently

• Vachetta & Light-Colored Leather → Highly porous, increasing the risk of permanent ink and dye stains.

• Coated Leather → Less absorbent but may lose its protective layer if over-treated.

• Delicate Leathers (e.g., Lambskin) → More prone to discoloration and damage, requiring delicate care.

• Suede & Fabric → Stains absorb deeply, leading to permanent marks. In severe cases, material replacement may be required.

1.7  Time Factor & Stubborn Stain Absorption

• Fresh Stains → Easier to lighten but may not be fully removable.

• Older Stains → Bond permanently with the material, making removal difficult or impossible.

1.8 Risk of Stubborn Stain Spreading During Cleaning

Cleaning agents may cause ink and dye stains to spread, affecting a larger area than originally targeted. Even if the stain lightens, full removal can be challenging.

 Fading & Discoloration Risks

• Over-Treatment → Can strip the original color, leading to uneven patches or fading.

• Protective Coating Damage → Excessive treatment weakens the material, making it more prone to future stains.

1.9  Realistic Expectations

• Light Surface Stains → Can be significantly reduced but may not be fully removed.

• Deep-Set or Old Stains → May leave visible traces, requiring additional services like color restoration.

1.10  High Risk of Permanent Stains

• Materials like Vachetta and light-colored leather have a high risk of permanent absorption.

• Fabric, canvas, and suede may require material replacement if stains cannot be effectively removed.

2 – Odor Removal Treatment Policy

(i) Effectiveness of Odor Removal
Leather odor removal is a complex process, as odors often become deeply embedded in the material. Initial treatment typically achieves a reduction of 60-70% in odor intensity. However, the full elimination of stubborn odors may require additional sessions or maintenance over time. Our goal is to significantly reduce, if not entirely remove, the smell through advanced treatment techniques.

(ii) Continuous Maintenance for Optimal Results
Due to the nature of leather and the various factors contributing to odor retention, we recommend continuous deodorizing treatments every 3-6 months. This ongoing maintenance ensures that any residual odors are effectively addressed and that the leather remains fresh. Without periodic treatment, some odors may resurface over time, especially if the leather is exposed to environmental factors like moisture or prolonged storage.

(iii) Dependence on Specific Odor Sources
The effectiveness of the odor removal process is closely tied to the specific source of the odor. Different types of odors, whether from smoke, mold, or other contaminants, require tailored treatments. The nature of the odor (whether it is organic, chemical, or environmental) influences the time and methods necessary for its full elimination. Some odors may respond better to certain treatments than others, and the approach will vary accordingly.

(iv) Limitations of Odor Removal
While we employ the most advanced techniques available, there are inherent limitations when it comes to odor removal, particularly in cases where the odor has deeply penetrated the leather fibers. If the leather has absorbed the odor over an extended period or has been subjected to conditions that allow the smell to seep into the material on a molecular level, complete odor removal may not be fully achievable. In such cases, we will work to minimize the odor as much as possible, but a residual scent may persist.

(v) Integrated Service for Best Results
Odor removal treatment is distinct from general cleaning services. For optimal results, both services must be performed together. Cleaning the leather without addressing the underlying cause of the odor may not be effective in removing the smell. Similarly, odor removal treatments without prior cleaning may not fully address the underlying dirt or contaminants that contribute to the odor. A comprehensive approach, combining both cleaning and deodorizing services, is essential for achieving the best possible outcome.

(vi) Aroma Treatment Infusion Policy

Standard Procedure

All odor treatment services include an aroma-infused finish as part of our standard procedure. We apply natural, plant-based essential fragrances in combination with professional-grade deodorization methods.

This fragrance application is a default process and does not require separate consent, unless the customer explicitly informs us in advance of any known sensitivities to fragrances.

Fragrance Sensitivity Disclaimer

• Customers with known sensitivities or allergies to fragrances or essentials must inform us before service begins.

• Fragrance sensitivity is regarded as an individual and personal condition, and therefore does not constitute a fault, defect, or shortcoming in the services rendered.

• No refunds, complaints, or service modifications will be accepted after treatment on the basis of fragrance-related concerns.

Policy Acceptance

By proceeding with the odor treatment service, the customer acknowledges and fully accepts the terms of this policy.

(vii) Non-Obligation Odor Removal Support Option

– We offer a non-obligation odor removal support option for customers who need continued assistance in eliminating odors from their leather goods. Leather odor removal is a gradual process that requires multiple treatments over time. Our service ensures that you receive periodic deodorizing sessions, allowing the odor to progressively fade with each treatment.

– This option provides flexibility, helping customers save on costs while also encouraging consistent maintenance. Ongoing self-care is often more important than heavy treatments, as it ensures long-term results rather than relying solely on professional solutions.

– Additionally, to maintain the freshness of your leather, we recommend using Reeluxs Fragrance Desiccant Sachets alongside the treatment. These sachets offer effective moisture absorption and long-lasting fragrance, keeping your leather goods dry and fresh while preventing the development of mold and unpleasant odors.

– The sachets are infused with high-quality essential oils for a subtle, enduring scent and are eco-friendly and safe for everyday use. To ensure the sachets remain effective, we suggest replacing them every 3-6 months.

– This combination of continuous treatment and regularly updated desiccant sachets ensures your leather stays fresh and odor-free.

3 – Mold Remediation

Surface Mold Management (Initial Intervention)

• Objective: Address the onset of mold growth and mitigate its further development.

• Approach: This initial stage combines both cleaning and specialized mold removal treatments. These procedures are distinct yet complementary. The simultaneous application of both treatments is essential, as cleaning alone may not suffice to prevent the recurrence of mold.

Deep Mold Mitigation (Intermediate Intervention)

• Objective: Address deeper mold penetration within the leather that surpasses superficial layers.

• Approach: This intermediate stage requires an integrated strategy that includes thorough cleaning, targeted mold removal, and detailed restoration services. This comprehensive intervention is necessary if the initial treatment does not effectively resolve the mold infestation.

Advanced Mold Resolution (Final Intervention)

• Objective: Tackle severe mold degradation that results in oxidation, leading to the deterioration of the leather with symptoms such as peeling and cracking.

• Approach: At this advanced stage, previous remedial measures (cleaning, mold removal, and restoration) are generally ineffective. Replacement of the compromised components or, if necessary, the entire item becomes the sole viable solution.

Prevention Guidelines:

• Do not reuse old dust bags or boxes that cause the bag mold 

• Avoid placing leather items in humid or poorly aired locations.

• Regular usage of items helps in maintaining their condition.

Warranty Limitation:Our warranty explicitly excludes the recurrence of mold and oxidation issues arising from improper storage or care after servicing. Despite our commitment to restoring your item to a pristine condition, the longevity and maintenance of the restored state heavily depend on the post-service care it receives.

Policy Rationale:These guidelines underscore the preventable nature of mold and oxidation issues with proper care and storage practices.

4 – Color Restoration and Matching Policy

(i) Material Properties and Dye Variations
Color restoration is influenced by several factors, such as material properties, dye batches, and the aging characteristics of both leather and dyes. Due to variations in leather composition and dye production over time, achieving a precise match between the original and restored color can be challenging. We aim for 80-99% accuracy in color matching, but differences in color tone or texture may arise due to the aging of leather and limitations of the dyeing process. While we make every effort to replicate the original color as closely as possible, exact color matching cannot be guaranteed.

(ii) Impact of Base Material Condition
The condition of the base leather significantly affects the restoration’s outcome. Key factors include: Fading, discoloration, and texture changes. Previous treatments like stains, waxes, or repairs.

Leathers that are heavily worn, scratched, or damaged may not absorb dye evenly, leading to potential uneven color absorption. This can result in visible variations across different areas. We strive to ensure a uniform appearance, but the condition of the leather will ultimately influence the success of the restoration.

(iii) Unique, Discontinued, and Rare Colors
Some leather colors are no longer available due to discontinued dye batches or because they were unique to a specific brand or production period. When dealing with these colors: Exact color replication may not be possible.We will strive to provide the closest approximation to the original shade.

However, it’s important to understand that color deviations may occur. Depending on the age of the leather and the materials used, there may be subtle differences between the restored and original colors that could not have been anticipated. Exact replication is especially challenging with rare or hard-to-find colors.

(iv) Cracked Leather Limitation

In cases where the leather is cracked, the restoration process can improve the visual appearance but will not fully eliminate the cracks. Key points to note:

• Cracks will remain visible due to the structural damage.

• Restoration will reduce the visibility of cracks and enhance the surface texture, but the underlying integrity cannot be fully repaired.

While the affected areas can be blended with the surrounding leather, the cracks will not disappear entirely. This is a natural limitation of the restoration process.

(v) Realistic Expectations and Results
While we aim to achieve the highest possible quality in leather restoration, we must work within the realistic constraints of the leather’s existing condition. Leather is a natural material that ages uniquely, and its behavior during restoration may differ based on: Original finish, age, and usage patterns.

Even after restoration, there may be subtle imperfections or variations in texture and color, reflecting the natural aging process of the leather. Our goal is to return your leather goods to a visually pleasing state, but some imperfections may remain due to the inherent limitations of the restoration process.

(vi) Limitations on Perfection Requests

We do not accept requests for flawless perfection in leather restoration. While we strive to restore leather items to the best of our ability, it’s important to understand the following:

• Each leather item is unique, and factors such as its type, age, and overall condition will influence the outcome of the restoration process.

• Minor imperfections may remain, even after efforts to restore the item. Leather may have natural characteristics or previous damage that cannot be completely eradicated.

• Customers should be aware that some level of imperfection is unavoidable, and restoration does not guarantee a flawless result. Our goal is to significantly improve the item, but perfection is not always achievable.

• This clarification is important to avoid misunderstandings or unrealistic expectations. Please understand that the outcome may vary depending on the individual item and its specific needs.

Chrome Color Restoration Declaration

For chrome color restoration services, please be advised of the following:

• Upon completion of the restoration process, the resulting finish will be a metallic chrome appearance with non-mirror characteristics, matched to the closest achievable tone.

• Mirror-grade or factory-level chrome reflectivity cannot be recreated through restoration, refinishing, or re-plating once the original manufacturing process has been altered or deteriorated.

• This service is intended to correct faded, oxidized, or damaged areas and to enhance the overall visual appearance of the item.

• Original factory chrome reflection and surface properties cannot be fully restored under any circumstances.

By proceeding with this service, the customer acknowledges and accepts the inherent technical limitations of chrome color restoration and agrees to proceed based on realistic and achievable restoration results, rather than factory-new standards.

5 – Color Change Policy & Terms

(i) Reference Image & Color Matching

• Reference images provided are intended to serve as visual guides only. Due to variations in display technology (e.g., screen resolution, brightness, and color settings) and the inherent characteristics of leather, there may be discrepancies between the image and the final color outcome. While every effort is made to match the colors as closely as possible, exact color matching cannot be guaranteed.

(ii) Influence of Base Color & Appearance Variations

• The original base color of the leather bag plays a significant role in the outcome of the color change. Darker base colors are more difficult to lighten, and lighter base colors may result in less coverage when transitioning to darker shades. Additionally, due to the unique texture and absorption properties of different types of leather, the final applied color may appear different than what is shown in reference images. This is a natural outcome of the color change process, and customers should expect some degree of variation.

(iii) Recommended Color for Best Durability

• Black is the most recommended color for durability and ease of maintenance. This color is capable of fully absorbing into the leather, which allows it to effectively mask the original base color, ensuring a more consistent and uniform result. Additionally, black is the least likely to show signs of wear and tear over time, making it a practical choice for leather goods that experience regular use.

(iv) Alternative Colors & Limitations

• Other colors can be applied, but these may not fully conceal the original base color, especially if the base color is significantly different from the desired shade. Over time, natural wear and tear, such as friction from regular use, may cause the original color to show through, particularly in high-contact areas (e.g., corners, edges, handles). This occurrence is not a defect in the craftsmanship but a result of the material’s inherent properties and natural aging process.

(v) Risk of Color Fading & Wear

• All leather products will experience fading over time. This is a natural and inevitable process, particularly in high-wear areas such as handles or straps. The fading occurs as the color is gradually worn away by friction, exposure to light, or environmental factors. This fading is a normal part of leather aging and is not an indication of poor workmanship or a quality issue.

(vi) General Conditions & Customer Acknowledgment

• The success of a color change depends heavily on the condition of the leather, the leather’s dye absorption properties, and the overall usage patterns of the item. Leather that is heavily worn, damaged, or previously treated may not respond to color changes in the same way as a new or well-maintained bag. Additionally, it is important to understand that a factory-original finish cannot be fully replicated due to the nature of manual craftsmanship involved in the process. By choosing to proceed with the color change service, customers acknowledge and accept these terms and limitations, understanding the inherent risks and potential variations that may arise.

6 – COLOR TRANSFER ISSUE TERMS & CONDITIONS

General Understanding

• Color transfer is a stubborn and challenging issue to treat. Customers should have realistic expectations regarding restoration outcomes.

• The purpose of color transfer restoration is to improve the item’s condition and restore it to a better state than its current damaged condition.

• Restoration is not intended to reproduce a brand-new item. Customers are encouraged to set reasonable expectations to prevent misunderstandings or disputes.

6.1 – Effectiveness of Restoration

Restoration Results

• Restoration efforts can potentially improve color transfer stains by approximately 80-90%, depending on the stain’s severity.

• Complete stain removal is not guaranteed as some stains may be permanent.

Influencing Factors

• The depth of color penetration significantly impacts restoration success.

• Restoration is carefully performed to preserve the leather’s natural texture. Applying thick layers of color may compromise the leather’s finish.

Important Notice

• Over-treatment may result in thinning, discoloration, or texture changes in the material.

• Customers must acknowledge these risks before proceeding with the service.

6.2 – Material Sensitivity

Different materials react differently to color transfer treatment:

• Vachetta & Light-Colored Leather: Highly porous, making stains difficult to remove and prone to permanent discoloration.

• Coated Leather: Less absorbent but may lose its protective layer if treated aggressively.

• Delicate Leathers (e.g., Lambskin): More prone to discoloration, requiring delicate care to avoid further damage.

• Surface Improvement Only: Polishing improves the outer surface but cannot eliminate deep scratches, tarnish, or signs of heavy damage.

• Exposure of Base Metal: Polishing may reveal the underlying metal tone. This occurs when the hardware’s original coating (e.g., gold or white gold plating) has worn down, exposing materials like bronze, steel, or base metals.

• Customers should be aware that base color exposure may result in a two-tone effect where the polished area contrasts with other untreated sections.

9.2 – 24K Gold & White Gold Platinum Re-Plating

Full Re-Plating Requirement:

• For optimal shine and long-lasting gold tone restoration, a complete 24k gold or white gold re-plating service is required.

• Partial re-plating is not feasible as it may result in uneven coloration, patchy texture, or compromised durability.

Zipper Exclusion:

• Zippers are excluded from the gold plating service.

• Due to the nature of zipper teeth materials, plating is unsuitable as it may restrict movement and compromise functionality.

• For heavily tarnished or damaged zipper teeth, replacement is the only viable solution to maintain performance and aesthetic consistency.

9.3 – Characteristics of Black Re-Plating

Black plating is an increasingly popular aesthetic choice, but it comes with unique characteristics and limitations.

Durability Notice:

• Black plating is less durable than gold or white gold plating. It tends to wear off more quickly under regular use due to the fragile nature of the coating.

• Unlike other plating options, no proven method significantly extends the lifespan of black plating.

Maintenance Limitations:

• Although careful handling and minimal abrasion can help prolong the finish, black plating naturally wears off faster over time.

Customer Understanding:

• Customers should understand that rapid fading or wear-off is inherent to the plating material itself and not a result of workmanship issues.

• This is a characteristic of the design choice rather than a service flaw.

        9.4 – General Disclaimer

The following conditions are not covered under warranty for all metal polishing and plating services:

• External Damage: Any damage resulting from scratches, abrasions, or accidents caused by daily use or mishandling.

• Tarnish & Wear and Tear: Natural tarnishing and aging effects from prolonged use are considered normal aging and are not covered under our warranty.

• Rapid Wear-Off for Black Plating: Due to the fragile nature of black plating, issues such as quick fading or color loss are not covered under warranty.

9.5 – Customer Acknowledgment & Agreement

By proceeding with our metal hardware polishing or plating services, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:

• Polishing Services are intended to improve surface shine but cannot fully correct deep scratches or heavily worn metal.

• Plating Services offer restoration but are subject to inherent limitations depending on the type of plating selected.

• Customers choosing black plating fully understand its limited durability and accept the risk of faster wear-off.

• Any metal hardware damage resulting from improper care, rough usage, or external exposure is beyond our control and not covered under warranty.

By confirming the service, the customer agrees to all terms and conditions outlined above.

10 – Partial Replacement Notice

Partial Replacement – Oxidation & Cracking Risk

Pre-existing Damage: 

• Replaced areas may already show signs of oxidation or cracking. Other unreplaced sections may also develop similar issues over time due to the natural aging process of the material.

Aging Considerations:

•  All materials age at a similar rate. While some areas may currently appear unaffected, they may still develop cracks, oxidation, or brittleness in the future.

Two-Tone Appearance:

•  Partial replacements may result in noticeable differences between new and old materials, creating a two-tone effect. This is especially visible when the item shows significant wear but the customer opts for a partial replacement due to budget constraints or against professional advice. The contrast between newly replaced parts and aged, worn-out sections may be more pronounced over time.

Material Variance & Matching Limitations: 

• Differences in production batches, aging, and wear can cause slight mismatches in color, texture, or finish. While we strive to match new materials as closely as possible to the original, an exact match may not always be feasible, especially for vintage or discontinued items.

Impact on Appearance:

•  Replacing certain parts may alter the overall look of the bag. If the remaining leather has developed a unique patina or vintage wear, the new material will not show the same aging effects. It is impossible to artificially create wear and tear to match older materials exactly.

Acceptance of Risk:

•  By proceeding with partial replacement, you acknowledge and accept the risks of potential cracking or deterioration in the remaining parts of the leather due to aging, lifespan duration, and oxidation levels. The unreplaced sections have the same wear history as the replaced parts, meaning they may also crack or degrade in the near future.

No Liability for Future Deterioration: 

• The service provider is not liable for any additional defects or deterioration in areas that were not replaced. Any aging, cracking, or oxidation in the unreplaced sections is beyond our control.

Vintage Fragile Disclaimer (Partial Replacement)
Vintage items are structurally fragile. During disassembly of the bag, additional brittle, detached, or missing sections may be discovered that were not detectable during the initial assessment. If this occurs, a full replacement may be required. This risk is inherent to vintage pieces and beyond our control.

If extra issues are found during disassembly, we will pause, present the findings and any additional costs, and proceed only with the owner’s approval.

If the owner chooses not to proceed after disassembly, please note: due to the fragile structure and the nature of disassembly, there is a high likelihood that the item cannot be reassembled to its original state. Any shifts, opened seams, or newly exposed weaknesses are unavoidable outcomes of accessing the internal structure and do not constitute negligence. In this situation, the item will be returned in its post-disassembly condition, with appropriate protective packing and documented photos.

When opting for partial replacement services, please review the following guidelines to ensure clarity:

• Handle Replacement: Replacement with hooks or without hook .

• Hook Replacement: Replacement of single or both hooks, as needed.

• Trim Replacement: Replacement of damaged or worn trim.

• Strap Replacement: Replacement of damaged or worn straps.

• Piping Replacement: Replacement of piping (edges) on the bag.

• Puller Replacement: Replacement of the zipper puller if it’s damaged.

• Partial Leather Replacement: Partial replacement of leather sections that are worn or damaged.

Handle Replacement With Hook

• Replacing both the handle(s) and the hook(s) that attach the handle to the bag.

• This option is recommended when both the handle and the hooks are showing signs of wear or damage.

•  In many cases, if the handle shows cracks, the hooks will likely be in a similar condition due to the heavy use and aging process. 

• Some bag designs even have handles and hooks as a single integrated piece, making it impossible to replace them separately. 

• If the hooks are weak or damaged, it’s best to replace both components together to maintain the bag’s overall design and functionality. 

• This ensures a consistent look and avoids future issues with the hooks.

Handle Replacement Without Hook

• Replacing only the handle(s) while keeping the existing hooks.

• Opt for this service if the hooks are still in usable condition, meaning they are not yet broken or showing signs of severe wear.

•  This is a more budget-friendly option but be aware that, as the hooks age alongside the handle, they may begin to deteriorate soon, even if they don’t currently show damage. 

• The hooks are subjected to heavy use, and their condition will often mirror that of the handle. If the budget allows, it is generally recommended to replace both the handle and hook for a more durable solution.

•  However, if you wish to extend the life of the bag as cost-effectively as possible, keeping the existing hooks is an option—though future issues may arise.

11 – Replacement Services Notice

Headings are provided for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of this Policy.

Replacement services may be recommended following Reeluxs’ professional assessment where restoration, repair, refurbishment, or other available services are no longer technically appropriate, reasonably achievable, or capable of providing a reliable and durable result.

The objective of a replacement service is to restore the structural integrity, functionality, usability, and overall compatibility of the affected area while preserving the remaining serviceable materials and components wherever technically appropriate.

As every luxury item differs in its material characteristics, production period, manufacturing methods, usage history, ageing condition, previous repairs, storage conditions, environmental exposure, and overall condition, replacement services are assessed and performed according to the specific circumstances of each individual item. Accordingly, no two replacement projects are exactly the same.

All replacement recommendations, material selection, measurements, pattern preparation, construction methods, and production processes are determined based on Reeluxs’ professional technical assessment and the actual condition of the item at the time of inspection.

Customers are encouraged to carefully review Reeluxs’ professional recommendations before approving any replacement service. By approving the replacement service, the customer acknowledges and accepts that the replacement process is subject to the professional methodology, measurement standards, compatibility requirements, technical limitations, and service conditions set out in this Policy.

Replacement may be recommended under circumstances including, but not limited to, the following:

• Leather Replacement – Where the leather has become excessively brittle, cracked, torn, structurally weakened, or has sustained damage beyond the scope of restoration or repair.

• Canvas Replacement – Where the canvas has severe fraying, holes, shrinkage, structural deformation, or deterioration that cannot be reasonably restored while maintaining structural integrity.

• Fabric Replacement – Where interior or exterior fabric has suffered irreversible staining, excessive wear, tearing, structural deterioration, or other damage that significantly affects durability, functionality, or appearance.

• Inner Lining Replacement – Where the lining has extensively deteriorated, become mould-infested, peeled, torn, or can no longer reasonably perform its intended function.

11.1 – Factors Leading to Replacement Recommendation

Following Reeluxs’ professional assessment, replacement may be recommended where one or more of the following circumstances exist. The examples below are provided as general guidance and are not intended to be exhaustive. Every item will be individually assessed based on its material characteristics, structural condition, technical feasibility, and overall serviceability.

Severe Wear, Structural Fatigue & Material Breakdown

Prolonged use may cause surface thinning, abrasion, peeling, fibre separation, structural fatigue, or material disintegration. Where the existing material has deteriorated beyond the point at which restoration or repair can provide a reliable and durable result, replacement may be recommended to restore structural integrity, functionality, and continued usability.

Oxidation, Cracking & Material Brittleness

Long-term exposure to heat, humidity, sunlight, oxidation, or other environmental conditions may cause materials to become brittle, cracked, stiff, or lose their flexibility.

Where the material has significantly deteriorated and continued restoration is no longer technically appropriate or reasonably achievable, replacement may be recommended following Reeluxs’ professional assessment.

Neglected, Contaminated or Improperly Stored Materials

Long-term exposure to moisture, excessive humidity, poor storage conditions, contamination, or lack of maintenance may result in irreversible deterioration, including mould infestation, mildew growth, bacterial contamination, odour absorption, or material degradation.

Where contamination or deterioration has extensively affected the material and cannot be reasonably resolved through restoration, replacement may be recommended to restore hygiene, functionality, and long-term usability.

Vintage, Aged & Naturally Deteriorated Materials

Vintage or aged materials may develop natural ageing characteristics such as oxidation, brittleness, shrinkage, structural weakening, or excessive patina over time.

While these characteristics may contribute to the uniqueness of the item, extensive ageing may reduce the material’s structural stability to a level where restoration is no longer technically suitable or capable of providing a reliable long-term result.

Deep Structural & Physical Damage

Where materials have sustained deep cuts, punctures, tears, severe deformation, structural separation, or damage extending beyond the surface layer, restoration alone may not adequately restore structural integrity or long-term durability.

Following Reeluxs’ professional assessment, replacement may be recommended where it provides the most technically appropriate solution.

Extensive Discolouration, Staining & Material Penetration

Where stains, colour migration, chemical contamination, or other substances have deeply penetrated the material and cannot be reasonably removed without causing further deterioration, replacement may be recommended where restoration is no longer technically appropriate or reasonably achievable.

High-Risk Material Ageing & Progressive Deterioration

Where the existing material has become excessively fragile or unstable and is likely to continue deteriorating despite restoration, replacement may be recommended to improve long-term durability, structural stability, functionality, and continued usability.

11.2 – Hardware, Screws & Fastening Components

Certain bags incorporate screws, rivets, fasteners, or other hardware components that are designed as single-use or limited-service components and may not be suitable for reuse once removed.

Before commencing replacement work, Reeluxs will carry out a professional assessment of all relevant hardware and fastening components to determine whether they remain structurally suitable for reuse.

Where existing screws, hardware, or fastening components are found to be damaged, excessively worn, deformed, structurally compromised, or unsuitable for reinstallation, replacement with compatible components may be recommended to maintain the structural integrity, durability, functionality, and safety of the repaired item.

Where replacement hardware differs due to production changes, manufacturer revisions, material availability, or technical compatibility, Reeluxs will use the most technically appropriate replacement components that are reasonably available for the specific item.

11.3 – Material Variance, Compatibility & Matching Limitations

Replacement materials are selected based on compatibility, technical suitability, durability, functionality, material characteristics, and availability at the time of service.

Due to differences in production batches, manufacturing methods, natural material characteristics, ageing, previous repairs, environmental exposure, and normal wear, slight variations in colour, leather grain, texture, thickness, firmness, finish, gloss level, stitching, edge profile, or overall appearance may exist between replacement materials and the customer’s existing materials.

While Reeluxs will make reasonable efforts to achieve the highest practical level of compatibility, an exact visual or material match cannot always be achieved, particularly for vintage, discontinued, limited-edition, aged, or naturally weathered items.

New replacement materials will naturally differ from existing aged materials and will not replicate existing ageing characteristics, patina, oxidation, wear patterns, or other naturally developed characteristics. Such differences are an inherent characteristic of replacement work and do not, by themselves, indicate that the replacement service is defective.

Where identical or substantially similar materials are no longer reasonably available, Reeluxs may recommend the most technically appropriate alternative material based on compatibility, functionality, durability, availability, and the customer’s preferences where reasonably practicable.

New replacement materials and the customer’s existing materials may continue to age, soften, oxidise, stretch, shrink, and develop their own characteristics independently over time. As a result, differences in appearance may become more noticeable with continued use and natural ageing.

11.4 – Replacement Methodology, Measurement Standards & Practical Limitations

Replacement Approach

When a replacement service is requested, only the approved damaged component(s) covered under the agreed scope of work will be replaced.

Existing materials and components that are considered serviceable following Reeluxs’ professional assessment, including but not limited to the inner lining, hardware, structure, and other undamaged sections, will generally be retained wherever technically appropriate.

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, all replacement work is carried out based on the customer’s existing material, construction, dimensions, proportions, and condition as presented at the time of inspection.

Purpose of Replacement

The purpose of a replacement service is to restore the functionality, structural integrity, usability, and appearance of the damaged area while maintaining the highest practical level of compatibility with the remaining existing materials and construction of the item.

A replacement service is not the manufacture of a brand-new product and should not be interpreted as creating a factory-new item. While the replaced component will generally show significant improvement, the item may continue to retain the characteristics, appearance, ageing, patina, and signs of use of the existing materials that remain.

Measurement, Pattern Preparation & Reference Standards

For all replacement services, the customer’s existing material serves as the primary reference for measurements, pattern preparation, construction, dimensions, proportions, fit, alignment, and overall configuration.

The existing material is used as the working template because it provides the most direct, reliable, practical, and technically appropriate reference for producing replacement components that are compatible with the item in its condition at the time of inspection.

This methodology forms part of Reeluxs’ professional replacement process and enables replacement patterns to be prepared efficiently while maintaining compatibility and consistency with the remaining existing materials and construction.

The selection of measurement methods, pattern preparation techniques, construction methods, materials, and production processes shall be determined according to the individual item’s condition, material characteristics, structural requirements, and Reeluxs’ professional technical assessment.

Accordingly, replacement work is generally not based on dimensions or specifications obtained from third-party websites, online marketplaces, catalogue specifications, promotional materials, published measurements, platform information, unofficial measurements, or other external references, as such information may vary due to production batches, manufacturing tolerances, model variations, production periods, measurement methods, previous repairs, ageing, wear, shrinkage, stretching, deformation, environmental conditions, chemical reactions, storage conditions, or other changes over time.

This methodology is particularly important for vintage, discontinued, limited-edition, or older production models, where reliable manufacturer specifications or dimensional information may no longer exist, may not be publicly available, or may not be technically suitable for replacement purposes.

Compatibility Standard

Replacement components are produced with the objective of achieving the highest practical level of compatibility with the customer’s existing materials, structure, construction, proportions, and overall configuration.

The purpose of replacement is to restore compatibility, functionality, structural integrity, and usability of the item. Replacement services are not intended to verify, reproduce, replicate, or recreate a manufacturer’s factory dimensions, specifications, construction methods, or production standards.

Customer-Requested Reference Information

If a customer requests that replacement work be carried out using dimensions, specifications, templates, drawings, samples, official information, or other reference materials instead of the existing material, such requirements must be clearly communicated before work commences.

The customer shall provide the relevant supporting information for Reeluxs’ professional assessment.

Reeluxs will assess whether the requested reference is technically appropriate, reasonably achievable, and suitable for the specific item. Such reference will only be adopted where it is technically feasible and mutually agreed upon before work commences.

Where the requested reference information is unavailable, incomplete, inconsistent, cannot reasonably be verified, or is not technically suitable, Reeluxs will determine the most technically appropriate replacement methodology and reference based on its professional assessment of the individual item.

Exception for Severe Material Deformation

Where the existing material has undergone severe chemical damage, shrinkage, deformation, deterioration, structural damage, or other conditions that prevent it from being reasonably used for measurement or pattern preparation, Reeluxs may prepare a new replacement pattern using reliable technical references that are reasonably available and technically appropriate.

However, Reeluxs does not represent or guarantee that manufacturer specifications, dimensional records, or other technical reference information exist, are publicly available, are complete, accurate, or suitable for every brand, model, production period, or individual item.

Practical Limitations

Every replacement service has practical limitations arising from the condition of the existing materials, ageing, previous wear, previous repairs, manufacturing variations, material characteristics, and the integration of new components with existing materials.

Accordingly, minor differences in leather grain, texture, colour tone, stitching, dimensions, proportions, shape, firmness, alignment, finishing, edge profile, or overall feel may exist after replacement.

Minor dimensional or appearance variations that are reasonably attributable to handcrafted production, material characteristics, integration with existing materials, or manufacturing tolerances shall not, by themselves, be regarded as evidence that the replacement service is defective.

Absolute uniformity or factory-new condition cannot be guaranteed.

Customer Expectations

The customer acknowledges that existing materials may already have changed over time due to ageing, normal use, environmental exposure, humidity, storage conditions, previous repairs, chemical damage, deformation, shrinkage, stretching, or other factors. Such changes may influence measurements, pattern preparation, compatibility, and the final replacement result.

Customers are expected to maintain reasonable expectations regarding the outcome of replacement services. The objective of replacement is to improve the condition, functionality, usability, and structural integrity of the damaged area while maintaining compatibility with the remaining existing materials and construction, rather than manufacturing a completely new product.

By proceeding with the replacement service, the customer acknowledges and accepts the replacement methodology, measurement standards, compatibility standards, pattern preparation process, professional assessment, technical limitations, and practical characteristics described above as forming part of the agreed scope of replacement services.

Where compatibility and manufacturer specifications cannot reasonably be achieved simultaneously, Reeluxs will prioritise technical compatibility with the customer’s existing materials and construction in accordance with its professional assessment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

11.5 – Material Sourcing, Compatibility & Availability Assessment

Where replacement materials are required, Reeluxs will make reasonable efforts to source materials that are technically compatible and suitable for the requested service.

The identification or purchase of a material does not necessarily mean that the material is suitable for use. Compatibility can only be properly assessed through professional inspection, comparison, fitting, testing, or installation against the customer’s item.

In certain cases, materials that initially appear to be suitable may subsequently be found to be technically incompatible due to differences in colour, thickness, flexibility, leather grain, texture, structure, dimensions, construction, edge profile, manufacturing characteristics, or other technical considerations. Where this occurs, Reeluxs may determine that such materials are unsuitable for use and may recommend an alternative solution.

Certain replacement materials, particularly those for vintage, discontinued, limited-edition, uncommon, or specialised products, may require extended sourcing time. The actual sourcing period may exceed the initial estimated timeframe due to market availability, supplier lead times, technical compatibility assessments, quality control requirements, or other circumstances beyond Reeluxs’ reasonable control.

Estimated completion dates and sourcing timeframes are provided in good faith based on the information reasonably available at the time. However, such estimates are not guarantees and may reasonably change where additional sourcing, testing, compatibility assessments, or technical evaluation become necessary.

Where suitable replacement materials cannot be sourced, cannot be technically matched, or are determined to be unsuitable following compatibility assessment or installation testing, Reeluxs may recommend an alternative material, revise the proposed scope of work, or advise that the requested replacement cannot reasonably be completed.

The customer acknowledges that material sourcing forms part of the professional replacement process and that the final decision regarding material suitability shall be based on Reeluxs’ professional technical assessment rather than preliminary appearance, supplier descriptions, photographs, or initial expectations.

The final suitability of any replacement material can only be determined following professional comparison, fitting, testing, or installation against the customer’s item. Preliminary assessment, supplier descriptions, or visual appearance alone do not determine final material suitability.

11.6 – Removed Materials & Disposal Policy

Disposal of Removed Materials

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing before the commencement of the service, any leather, canvas, fabric, lining, hardware, components, or other materials removed during the replacement, repair, restoration, refurbishment, or customization process will not be returned to the customer.

Removed materials form part of Reeluxs’ replacement process and will be handled, retained, recycled, or disposed of in accordance with Reeluxs’ internal operational procedures and company policy.

Due to the volume of replacement work, material identification, quality control requirements, hygiene considerations, and operational management, Reeluxs is generally unable to segregate, retain, or return removed materials on an individual basis.

By approving the replacement service, the customer acknowledges and accepts this policy as forming part of the agreed scope of service.

11.7 – Professional Advice & Customer Decision

Reeluxs provides professional recommendations based on the condition of the item at the time of inspection, taking into consideration technical feasibility, structural integrity, material characteristics, durability, functionality, long-term serviceability, and the customer’s requested scope of work.

Where Reeluxs recommends a particular service, repair, replacement, maintenance, or preventive measure, such recommendation forms part of Reeluxs’ professional assessment for the specific item.

If the customer elects not to proceed with the recommended service, requests a reduced or alternative scope of work, or instructs Reeluxs to proceed in a manner that differs from the professional recommendation, the requested service will only be carried out where technically feasible and within the agreed scope of work.

The customer understands that any deviation from Reeluxs’ professional recommendations may affect the durability, functionality, compatibility, structural integrity, appearance, performance, or long-term serviceability of the item.

By approving the requested service, the customer confirms that Reeluxs’ professional recommendations have been explained, the agreed scope of work has been understood, and the requested service reflects the customer’s informed decision.

11.8 – Findings During Dismantling & Revised Professional Recommendations

Certain structural conditions, hidden damage, material deterioration, dimensional inconsistencies, shrinkage, deformation, oxidation, adhesive failure, contamination, or other internal conditions may not be reasonably identifiable during the initial inspection.

For many luxury bags, wallets, leather goods, and other multi-layered products, the actual condition of the internal structure, compatibility between materials, dimensions, and overall serviceability can only be accurately assessed after dismantling has commenced.

Where additional conditions are identified during dismantling that were not reasonably identifiable during the initial inspection, Reeluxs may revise its professional recommendations or recommend additional work where reasonably necessary to achieve a technically appropriate, functional, durable, and compatible service outcome.

For example, where a customer requests replacement of an inner lining while retaining the existing outer material, dismantling may reveal that the existing outer material has already undergone shrinkage, deformation, ageing, dimensional changes, or other conditions that prevent proper compatibility with a replacement inner lining. In such circumstances, replacing only the inner lining may reasonably result in improper fitment, reduced functionality, difficulty inserting cards, difficulty closing the item, structural incompatibility, or other foreseeable performance limitations.

Where revised professional recommendations are provided after dismantling, Reeluxs will explain the technical findings and the foreseeable consequences of proceeding with or declining the recommended additional work.

If the customer elects not to proceed with the revised recommendations, Reeluxs will assess whether the originally requested scope of work remains technically appropriate and reasonably achievable.

Where Reeluxs determines that the customer’s requested scope of work can still be performed, the service may proceed within the agreed scope of work after the customer has been informed of the reasonably foreseeable technical limitations and consequences associated with that decision.

Where Reeluxs determines that the customer’s requested scope of work would reasonably be expected to produce a non-functional, structurally incompatible, unsafe, or technically unacceptable result, Reeluxs may decline to continue the affected work in accordance with its professional assessment.

Once dismantling has commenced, certain stitching, adhesives, materials, structures, hardware, or other components may undergo irreversible separation, removal, trimming, deformation, or alteration as part of the professional service process. Accordingly, Reeluxs cannot guarantee that an item can be restored to its pre-dismantling condition if the customer subsequently elects not to proceed after dismantling has already commenced.

The customer acknowledges that dismantling forms an essential part of the agreed professional service process and that additional findings, revised professional recommendations, or changes to the recommended scope of work may reasonably arise during the course of the service.

Nothing in this Policy requires Reeluxs to carry out any work which, in Reeluxs’ professional assessment, is technically unsafe, structurally unsound, functionally impracticable, not reasonably achievable, or reasonably expected to produce a technically unacceptable result.

12 – Customization 

Customization allows for personalized modifications to restore, enhance, or modernize an item while maintaining its sentimental and functional value. However, it is important to understand that variations in the base material’s condition can impact the final outcome.

We do not accept demands for flawless perfection or address excessive concerns over minor details. Instead, we strive to deliver the best possible results within the realistic constraints of the material’s existing condition.

12.1 – Customization Process & Guidelines

• Consultation & Design Finalization

  • All customization requests are tailored according to customer specifications.

  • The details of each customization will be documented under special requests to ensure full clarity and agreement before proceeding.

• Irrevocable Finalization of Requests

  • Once a customization request is finalized and confirmed, it cannot be altered or canceled.

  • Customers are urged to carefully review all details before giving final approval.

• Material Usage & Considerations

  • Specially Ordered Materials – Customization involves materials that are specially ordered and prepared for each individual request. These are not standard stock materials and are procured specifically for the agreed-upon design.

  • Reuse of Existing Materials – When incorporating old materials into a custom design, pre-existing defects or wear in these materials will remain. They will not be altered or repaired, as the focus is on integrating them into the new design per customer preference.

• Non-Cancellable & Non-Refundable Policy

  • Due to the unique nature of customization, once the process begins, it cannot be canceled, modified, or refunded.

  • The use of special materials, labor-intensive craftsmanship, and irreversible design adjustments make all customization final and non-reversible.

By proceeding with customization, customers acknowledge that existing material constraints will affect the design, and adaptations may be necessary to achieve the most suitable outcome.

12.2 – Damaged or Cracked Material – Customization & Transformation Options

• Severe Cracking & Deterioration

  • If your vintage material has extensive cracking, severe damage, or has deteriorated beyond repair, replacing the material or customizing it into another model will be recommended.

  • We offer options to modernize the design, adjust the size, or enhance functionality while maintaining the essence of the original piece.

• Customization Based on Personal Preference

  • If the current design no longer fits your style or is too worn to restore, customized to a new model is a great alternative.

  • This allows you to update the vintage item, aligning it with personal preferences and modern needs while preserving elements of its character.

  • Customization options are available based on the existing material condition, meaning the design will be adapted to what can be feasibly repurposed.

  • Customers may choose from available design options that can be customized within the limitations of the current material to achieve the best possible transformation.

• Limitations Due to Existing Material

  • Customization is to preserve as much usable material as possible to create a customized to available new model.

  • However, due to existing material constraints, there will be limitations on size measurements, cutting, and printing locations based on what can be repurposed.

  • Redesigning an existing item is different from creating a new one from scratch. The material is already cut, sewn, and shaped, making adjustments more complex.

  • It is similar to rearranging pieces of a puzzle—the existing structure dictates what can be modified, requiring careful planning to achieve the best transformation.

12.3 – Customization Disclaimer Terms 

Clause 1 – Professional Judgement
1.1 All customization services are subject to material and technical limitations and can only achieve the maximum possible outcome within such boundaries.
1.2 All results shall be evaluated and determined based on the Company’s professional judgement, and such judgement shall be deemed final.

Clause 2 – Unreasonable Requests
2.1 The Company shall not entertain requests that are considered unreasonable, including but not limited to:
  (a) Excessive scrutiny over the spacing of stitching lines;
  (b) Claims of defects arising from minor differences of a few millimetres;
  (c) Complaints regarding minor colour tone variations;
  (d) Excessive zooming or inspection from multiple angles to search for imperfections.

Clause 3 – Material Condition Variances
3.1 The natural condition and pre-existing variances of materials (including, without limitation, leather) directly affect the final outcome.
3.2 Accordingly, demands for absolute perfection or excessive nitpicking shall not be accepted.

Clause 4 – Customer Acknowledgement
4.1 By confirming the service, the Customer shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted these Disclaimer Terms.
4.2 If the Customer does not agree with the above terms, the Customer is advised to reconsider before proceeding, in order to avoid potential disputes.

Clause 5 – Statutory Rights
5.1 These Disclaimer Terms are without prejudice to the Customer’s statutory rights under applicable laws and regulations.

13 – Chemical Damage, Progressive Deterioration, and Limitation of Liability Acknowledgment & Declaration

Chemical damage is fundamentally different from normal dirt, stains, wear and tear, oxidation, aging, or general deterioration. Once a material has been exposed to chemical substances, the affected leather, fabric, canvas, suede, patent leather, coating, adhesive, reinforcement material, lining, or internal structure may undergo irreversible deterioration.

Chemical exposure may arise from dehumidifier liquids, moisture absorber liquids, silica gel leakage, and other moisture-control chemicals, which are among the most common causes of severe chemical damage, as well as sanitizers, alcohol-based products, cleaning chemicals, detergents, bleach, perfume, cosmetic products, makeup products, skincare products, hand creams, body lotions, essential oils, household cleaners, disinfectants, stain removers, leather care products, leaked storage products, industrial chemicals, unknown liquids, unknown substances, improper DIY cleaning products, or any other known or unknown chemical source.

Based on our experience, leakage from dehumidifier liquids, moisture absorbers, silica gel containers, and other moisture-control products is among the most common causes of severe chemical damage to leather goods. Such substances may continue reacting with leather, fabric, canvas, coatings, adhesives, and internal reinforcement materials long after the initial exposure. In many cases, progressive shrinkage, hardening, deformation, cracking, peeling, delamination, and structural deterioration may continue to develop over time. The full extent of the damage may not be visible at the time of submission and may only become apparent days, weeks, months, or even longer after the original exposure.

The full extent of chemical damage may not be visible during the initial inspection or assessment. In many cases, the item may appear only mildly affected at the time of submission. However, the material may continue to react internally, causing the condition to progressively worsen over time.

For the avoidance of doubt, chemical-related shrinkage, hardening, deformation, cracking, peeling, delamination, structural weakening, material failure, and other forms of deterioration may continue to occur naturally as a consequence of the original chemical exposure, even without any cleaning, restoration, repair, treatment, handling, storage, transportation, quality control process, or other intervention being performed.

The customer acknowledges that such deterioration is the result of the material’s ongoing chemical reaction and not necessarily the result of any action or omission by Reeluxs.

Accordingly, the appearance of new damage, worsening condition, increased shrinkage, increased deformation, newly visible deterioration, hidden damage becoming visible, or progressive material failure after submission shall not, by itself, constitute evidence that such deterioration was caused by Reeluxs.

Customers acknowledge that chemical-related shrinkage, hardening, deformation, cracking, peeling, delamination, structural deterioration, material failure, and other forms of deterioration are material-related reactions that are inherently unpredictable and beyond the reasonable control of Reeluxs. The progression, severity, timing, and final outcome of such damage cannot be controlled, guaranteed, prevented, stopped, stabilized, or accurately determined by Reeluxs.

Such deterioration may continue before, during, or after inspection, storage, drying, cleaning, restoration, repair, transportation, quality control, collection, or any other service process. This progression may occur regardless of whether treatment is performed and may continue even when the item appears dry, stable, or unchanged on the surface.

Possible effects of chemical damage include, but are not limited to, shrinkage, hardening, stiffening, deformation, warping, curling, cracking, peeling, bubbling, discoloration, fading, coating failure, adhesive failure, delamination, loss of flexibility, loss of shape, structural weakening, material separation, internal deterioration, and other forms of material failure.

Due to the nature of chemical damage, Reeluxs’s professional recommendation is generally replacement of the affected component or material. Replacement is recommended because chemical exposure may permanently alter the physical and structural properties of the material, making restoration, cleaning, recoloring, refinishing, conditioning, odor treatment, mold treatment, or other non-replacement services unable to fully resolve the underlying deterioration.

Customers acknowledge that, in many chemical damage cases, replacement may be the only recommended solution. Where the affected material has already undergone irreversible chemical deterioration, restoration, cleaning, recoloring, refinishing, conditioning, odor treatment, mold treatment, or other non-replacement services may be ineffective and may result in the underlying damage becoming more apparent. The customer acknowledges and accepts that such outcomes are inherent limitations of the material’s condition and not defects in the services performed by Reeluxs.

Customers acknowledge that cleaning, restoration, color restoration, refinishing, recoloring, conditioning, odor treatment, mold treatment, or any other non-replacement service is not intended to reverse chemical damage.

In certain circumstances, such services may reveal hidden deterioration, expose previously concealed damage, accelerate the manifestation of pre-existing chemical damage, or result in additional shrinkage, hardening, deformation, cracking, peeling, delamination, discoloration, or other deterioration becoming more visible.

As a result, the condition of the item may remain unchanged, fail to improve, or become more visibly deteriorated after treatment. Such outcomes are considered inherent risks associated with pre-existing chemical damage and shall not be regarded as workmanship defects, service defects, handling damage, storage damage, or negligence on the part of Reeluxs.

Reeluxs provides recommendations, treatment plans, and service solutions based on its professional assessment of the item’s condition. Where Reeluxs recommends a particular service, repair method, replacement solution, treatment plan, limitation, precaution, or risk mitigation measure, such recommendation is made in the best professional interest of preserving the item and minimizing further deterioration.

If the customer elects not to follow Reeluxs’s professional recommendation and instead instructs Reeluxs to proceed with an alternative service, reduced scope of work, non-recommended treatment, or any service contrary to professional advice, the customer acknowledges and accepts all risks, limitations, consequences, and potential outcomes arising from such decision.

Where Reeluxs advises replacement as the recommended solution for a chemically damaged item, but the customer elects not to proceed with replacement and instead requests cleaning, restoration, color restoration, refinishing, recoloring, conditioning, odor treatment, mold treatment, or any other non-replacement service, the customer expressly acknowledges and accepts all associated risks and limitations.

Any worsening condition, delayed manifestation of damage, increased visibility of defects, shrinkage, hardening, cracking, peeling, deformation, discoloration, delamination, coating failure, adhesive failure, structural weakening, material failure, or other deterioration arising before, during, or after such services shall remain the sole responsibility of the customer.

Any damage, deterioration, worsening condition, unsuccessful result, material failure, progressive deterioration, or limitation in outcome arising directly or indirectly from the customer’s refusal to follow Reeluxs’s professional recommendation shall be deemed the responsibility of the customer.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Reeluxs shall not be liable for any loss, damage, deterioration, defect, unsuccessful outcome, material failure, newly visible deterioration, worsening condition, compensation claim, refund claim, warranty claim, or other claim arising from pre-existing chemical damage or from the customer’s decision to proceed contrary to professional recommendation.

Due to the unpredictable and progressive nature of chemical damage, no representation, warranty, or guarantee is made that deterioration can be stopped, stabilized, prevented, reversed, restored, repaired, or fully resolved.

Any chemical-related damage, including but not limited to shrinkage, hardening, deformation, cracking, peeling, discoloration, delamination, coating failure, adhesive failure, structural weakening, or progressive deterioration, whether occurring before, during, or after service, is excluded from warranty coverage.

No warranty, guarantee, refund, compensation, rework, liability claim, or other claim shall apply to any issue arising from chemical damage or from a customer’s decision to decline the recommended replacement solution for a chemically damaged item.

By submitting an item for inspection, cleaning, restoration, repair, replacement, assessment, transportation, storage, quality control, or any related service, the customer acknowledges, understands, and accepts the risks, limitations, exclusions, and conditions set out in this Chemical Damage, Progressive Deterioration, and Limitation of Liability Acknowledgment & Declaration.

( G) Service Case for Marketing Purpose Policy

1. Automatic Inclusion in Marketing

All items submitted for service will be automatically included in marketing materials created by the company’s marketing team, unless the customer submits a written request to opt out.

2. Disclosure and Privacy Protection

The service case details used in marketing materials will be limited to the repair or service performed on the item.

• No personal information or other customer details will be shared.

• This ensures compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards.

As only service-related images are used, explicit consent from the customer is not required.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

All images of items taken post-service are the exclusive property of Reeluxs. The company reserves the right to use these images for:

• Internal documentation

• Marketing campaigns

• Promotional purposes

By submitting an item for service, customers acknowledge and agree to the use of post-service images by Reeluxs at its discretion.

( H) Submission of Personal Information and Consent

By providing personal information, the customer consents to the collection, use, disclosure, and processing of their information for the following purposes:

• Administrative purposes

• Marketing and promotional communications

• Updates on service status and promotional offers

The company may contact customers to provide information on:

• Item readiness for collection

• Additional service recommendations

• Relevant promotions and offers

Policy Amendments

Reeluxs reserves the right to amend or update these terms and conditions without prior notice. It is the customer’s responsibility to review the updated policies periodically to stay informed of any changes.

To help maintain the results of the restoration and extend the life of your item, customers are advised to observe the following:

i. Avoid Moisture & Chemicals
– Keep the item away from rain, sanitizers, perfumes, and hand lotions.
– Always dry hands before handling the item.

ii. Handle Protection
– Handles are the most contact-prone area; customers are advised to use a Twilly or scarf wrap to reduce exposure to sweat, oils, and friction.

iii. Storage
– Store the item in a cool, dry place inside its dust bag.
– Avoid direct sunlight and excessive humidity.
– Fill the item with tissue or a bag pillow to help maintain shape.

iv. Cleaning
– Wipe gently with a clean, dry microfiber cloth after each use.
– Do not use household cleaners or alcohol-based products.

v. Regular Maintenance
– Periodic spa/conditioning treatments are recommended.
– If early signs of dryness or cracking appear, customers should return the item for preventive treatment.

II. Notice Regarding Wear and Tear of Products

i. All items are naturally subject to wear and tear through regular use.
ii. Whether new, restored, or replaced, items will eventually show signs of wear.
iii. The lifespan of an item varies depending on individual usage and handling practices.
iv. No specific guarantee on durability or longevity can be provided.

III. Additional Disclaimers

i. Reeluxs restoration services are intended to improve and extend the life of items; they do not permanently return items to factory-new condition.
ii. Restoration services cannot prevent natural aging, usage marks, or environmental effects.
iii. Warranty applies only within the agreed period and scope, and does not cover damage caused by:
– Misuse or mishandling
– Accidents
– Exposure to chemicals or unsuitable environments
iv. Continued protection and proper care by the owner are essential to maintain the results of any restoration service.

IV. Acknowledgment

By submitting an item for restoration, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the above Care & Service Terms and Conditions.

( J ) 👜 Patent Leather Maintenance Tips (Post-Restoration)

1. Avoid Direct Heat & Sunlight

• Keep the bag away from prolonged exposure to sunlight, heaters, or hot environments.

• Heat can cause the glossy coating to yellow, crack, or warp over time.

2. Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place inside a breathable dust bag (avoid plastic covers).

• Make sure the bag is not pressed against other items to avoid color transfer or surface impressions.

• Use tissue or bag shapers inside to maintain the shape.

3. Cleaning

• Wipe gently with a soft microfiber cloth after each use.

• For smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with clean water—avoid alcohol, acetone, or strong cleaners, which may dull the patent shine.

• If sticky residue appears, use a small amount of patent leather cleaner only.

4. Preventing Color Transfer

• Avoid prolonged contact with dark fabrics (especially denim or untreated leather).

• If color transfer happens, do not scrub—bring it back to the spa for professional treatment.

5. Handling Scratches

• Patent leather is resistant to scratches but not immune.
